Twin Rivers Unified School District is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist for 6 hours per day in our Special Education Services program. Hours: 6 hours/day; 5 days/week

Assists teachers, therapists, and counselors with administration of one-on-one behavioral intervention therapies and tutoring to students in a school, home, or other setting. Provides support to special diagnostic services and instructional programs that are designed to enhance students’ ability to be placed in regular grade level education.
The position requires an Associate’s degree in early childhood development, psychology, speech pathology or equivalent discipline plus two years of experience working with in a classroom environment containing students with special needs. Alternatively, may require Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience working with handicapped and behaviorally “at-risk” students.
May require a valid driver’s license. Completion of intervention modules such as applied behavior analysis, discrete trial teaching, pivotal response training, and social stories. May require a valid first aid card.
