Job summary

Twin Rivers Unified School District is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist for 6 hours per day in our Special Education Services program. The role involves delivering one-on-one behavioral intervention therapies and tutoring to students, supporting diagnostic services and instructional programs to help students progress to regular classroom placement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in early childhood development, psychology, speech pathology or equivalent discipline plus two years of experience working with students with special needs.
• Bachelor’s degree with one year of experience working with handicapped and behaviorally 'at-risk' students.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers, therapists and counselors with administration of one-on-one behavioral intervention therapies and tutoring to students in school, home, or other settings.
• Provides support to special diagnostic services and instructional programs designed to help students reach regular grade level education.

Education
