Twin Rivers Unified School District seeks a Behavior Intervention Specialist to support students in a Special Education program. The role is 6 hours per day, five days a week, within the Special Education Services setting.

Assists teachers, therapists, and counselors with administration of one-on-one behavioral intervention therapies and tutoring to students in a school, home, or other setting. Provides support to special diagnostic services and instructional programs that are designed to enhance students' ability to be placed in regular grade level education.

$28.51 - $37.68 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.
Special Education Services
6 hours/day; 5 days/week
Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
The position requires an Associate's degree in early childhood development, psychology, speech pathology or equivalent discipline plus two years of experience working with in a classroom environment containing students with special needs. Alternatively, may require Bachelor's degree and one year of experience working with handicapped and behaviorally "at-risk" students.
May require a valid driver's license. Completion of intervention modules such as applied behavior analysis, discrete trial teaching, pivotal response training, and social stories. May require a valid first aid card.
