Job summary

UCP of Central Florida is seeking a dedicated Behavior Coach to support students within MTSS, coach classroom staff, and implement data-driven interventions.

You will model Tier 1–3 strategies, collect and graph behavior data, assist in writing BIPs, and provide crisis de-escalation training. This role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and specialists to promote positive student outcomes across our campuses.

Experience in PBIS and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (preferred) or equivalent college credits with additional work experience.
• High School Diploma with additional experience/behavior management training in lieu of degree.
• 3 years’ experience supporting students’ behavior and social-emotional needs in a K-5 classroom.
• Experience collecting behavior data and implementing individualized behavior plans.
• Crisis intervention experience and Blue Card CPI awareness.
• Experience with PBIS or other school-wide programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain behavior intervention schedule for Tier 1 and Tier 2 consultations, modeling, and guidance for classroom staff.
• Provide training and professional development for staff using behavior team materials.
• Implement MTSS Tier 2/3 social skills lessons and replacement behaviors.
• Collect and graph data for MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3.
• Identify the need for Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and assist in information for writing BIPs.
• Report progress with specialists and teachers to develop strategies for MTSS Tier 3.
• Assist with morning and afternoon car line to build rapport with caregivers and reduce transitions.
