Job summary

Springfield Public Schools seeks an Educational Assistant - Behavior & Instruction at Centennial Elementary School for 3.75 hours per day. The position runs 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday while school is in session.

Under supervision of a licensed teacher, you will provide targeted practice, assist with lesson delivery, and support students with behavioral and academic needs. The district notes this role does not include health insurance due to hours.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher or 72 credits with transcripts.
• High school diploma with ability to assist in reading and mathematics readiness.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR card and pass Safe Schools training modules.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed teacher with supplemental practice and reinforcement of skills.
• Collect, sort and correct assignments; record grades.
• Provide 1:1 support and behavior management.
• Maintain discipline in teacher's absence and support safety.
