Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an Instructional Assistant(s) district-wide. The role supports classroom teachers with individual and group instruction, testing, and assessment procedures, and provides IEP support and behavior management to students.

This 10-month position offers 6.5 hours per day (excluding a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Shifts vary by level: Elementary 8:30–3:30, Middle 7:40–2:40, High 7:30–2:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of college or 48 credits.
• Ability to implement specially designed instruction and behavior support plan within a child's IEP.
• Ability to follow professional directives to support the child in the school environment.
• Effective interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and a desire to work with children.
• Strong organizational skills.

Instructional Assistant(s) - District Wide

To assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of individual and group instruction, testing, and assessment procedures. Assist in providing IEP support and carrying out behavior management plans. Follow professional directives to support the child in the school environment when applicable. Ensure student safety across all environments. Assist in other areas as requested by the classroom teacher and/or Pupil Services in support of educational programming.

Qualifications

$24.96 per hour after a successful 90-day probation.
