Job summary

Lakeview Center is seeking a Behavior Health Technician to support counselors, nurses and the treatment team in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings in Northwest Florida. The role focuses on building rapport, facilitating activities of daily living and coordinating care for adults and children with mental health or substance use needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, CPI training and a valid driver's license, with opportunities for growth within

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Must pass CPI training.
• Must provide a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass organization background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive helping relationship with people receiving services.
• Assist those receiving services to complete activities of daily living and access resources.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of those served.
• Implement interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
• Monitor and document the person’s progress.
