Job summary

Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Behavior Health Technician to support counselors and nursing staff across residential, inpatient, and community programs. The role involves establishing supportive relationships, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring safety for adults and children in care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, CPI training, and completion of CCA training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
One year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
Must be able to pass CPI training.
Must complete the 20 hours of the required CCA training that is provided.
Must be able to pass Human Trafficking training within 60 days of hire.
Must be able to provide integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Establish a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
Assist persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of persons receiving services.
Implement specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
Monitor and document the person’s progress.
