Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is seeking an Instructional Coach (Behavior Focus) to support teachers with model practices, side-by-side coaching, and data-informed instruction across grade levels.

The role emphasizes instructional clarity, classroom management, differentiated lessons, and professional learning aligned to district initiatives; candidates should have at least five years of teaching experience and knowledge of data-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience.
• Knowledge of effective research-based instructional strategies.
• Knowledge of data collection, analysis, and use to ensure fidelity of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Conferences with teachers to set goals and co-plan/co-teach for student learning.
• Conducts classroom observations to provide instructional support and program improvement.
• Plans staff development and supports district initiatives with professional learning.
• Models effective classroom management and fosters a positive classroom culture.
• Maintains a coaching log and reports successes and challenges to stakeholders.
