Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks an Instructional Coach for Champaign Unit 4 Schools to collaborate with teachers, design differentiated lessons, and support district initiatives that raise student achievement.

Responsibilities include modeling effective practices, conducting observations, and providing staff development focused on instructional strategies and data-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience.
• Knowledge of effective, research-based instructional strategies.
• Ability to model, observe, and conference with colleagues.
• Experience with diverse student populations and using resources to meet student needs.
• Knowledge of data collection, analysis, and use to ensure high fidelity implementation of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Confer with and set individual goals with teachers.
• Co-plan/co-teach and engage in side-by-side coaching to enhance student learning.
• Directly instructs whole classes or groups while the lead teacher observes.
• Conduct classroom observations to provide instructional support and program improvement.
• Use formal and informal assessments to support differentiation and data-based decision-making.
