AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is hiring a Group Leader Assistant for Kingsford Elementary School in Mitchellville, MD.

The role supports before-and-after-school activities, helps with World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker and Arts curriculums, and fosters a safe, inclusive environment from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The part-time position offers benefits and opportunities to work with families and school staff in a fun, engaging setting.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• 3-6 months childcare experience in license setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Prioritize child safety at all times.
• Keep space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included and build relationships with families and staff.

In This Role, You Will

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a license setting
