Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader to support before- and after-school programs at Kingsford Elementary School in Mitchellville, MD and Perry Wood Elementary School in Largo, MD. You will lead a group of students through daily activities and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. AlphaBEST offers training and certification opportunities to advance within the program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with children in a structured environment.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, Arts).
• Prioritize child safety and follow procedures at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

and Perry wood Elementary School Largo MD AM SHIFT 7AM-8AM PM SHIFT 1:30PM-6PM

Pay: 17.50

Hours: AM 7AM-8AM PM 1:00pm-6pm

• 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood- You can also have at least one of the certificates either 45 hours growth development or the 45 hours school age curriculum and we can enroll you in the necessary classes to complete the other training
• AlphaBEST provides Certification Training for Group Leader and Site Director Positions
