Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking an early learning professional to serve as a Group Leader Assistant at John Bayne Elementary School in Capitol Heights, MD. The role involves supporting before and after school programming in a high-energy environment.

You will assist with daily activities across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts, while prioritizing child safety and inclusivity. The position requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and 3-6 months licensed childcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a licensed setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized. Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.
