Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader at Melwood Elementary School in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role supports before- and after-school programming, leading a group of students through engaging activities across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Join a team that prioritizes child safety, organized spaces, and strong partnerships with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• ADD ANY ADDITIONAL DISTRICT/STATE REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Job description

Location(s): Melwood Elementary School Upper Marlboro MD

Pay: 17.50

Hours: AM 7AM-8AM PM 1:30pm-6pm

• 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood- You can also have at least one of the certificates either 45 hours growth development or the 45 hours school age curriculum and we can enroll you in the necessary classes to complete the other training
• AlphaBEST provides Certification Training for Group Leader and Site Director Positions
