Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Site Director to lead a before/after school program at Highland Park Elementary School. You will manage daily operations, staffing, and documentation to ensure a high-quality student and family experience.

You will oversee curriculum implementation, maintain licensing compliance, and foster a safe, inclusive environment while mentoring your site team and engaging with school staff and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Flexible schedule to meet staffing needs.
• Registered and has full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency.
• Proof of experience as required by licensing regulations.
• 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements - 45 hours growth and development; 45 hours school age curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Supervise and mentor your site team with coaching and training compliance.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.

Pay: $21.00

Hours: AM shift 7am-9am PM shift 2:30pm-6pm

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)
• 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth and development 45 hours school age curriculum

Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:

• Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)
• A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
• Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
• 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
