Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is hiring for the 2026/2027 school year in Saddle Brook for the Group Leader role in our Before & After School Programs. Shift hours run 7:00-8:30am and 3:00-6:00pm, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

You will lead groups through engaging activities and support kids in a structured, energetic environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing education, child development, psychology, or related fields, and hold or are able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You'll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team.

We’re looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:
