Job summary

The Ankeny Community School District BASP is seeking a capable Site Leader for the Before & After School Program. You will manage a site, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for students ages 5–12, aligning with program guidelines and DHS standards.

Starting immediately with a schedule Monday–Friday, and potential extended hours during non-school days; salary paid hourly at $25.12 with benefits typical to district programs.

Qualifications

• Meets the Iowa Department of Human Services site supervisor qualifications.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified teacher or Early Childhood Education Degree preferred.
• Experience with project management, leadership, mentoring/coaching children; preferred.
• Ability to obtain current adult and child CPR and First Aid Certification with AED training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and coach Before & After School Program site staff and substitutes.
• Assist the Manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating practices and procedures to improve the program.
• Communicate program expectations clearly to employees and students.
• Assist with implementation and coaching of curriculum; engage with students.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Administer quality site operations following district policy and procedures.
