Job summary

A Child's Place is seeking a part-time, on-site LEAD Before and After School Teacher to supervise and care for school-aged children in grades K-5. Work alongside an established team within the district.

Responsibilities include planning activities, coordinating staff, and maintaining communication with families. The role requires energy, reliability, and a collaborative spirit for a dynamic after-school program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred in Elementary Education / Early Grades Prep / Special Education / Early Childhood Education / related field.
• 2 years (2,500 hours) of documentable experience working with children.
• Ability to pass and maintain background/clearance checks.
• Maintain an employee file in accordance with DHS and ACP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students in various settings to provide a safe, positive learning environment.
• Assist with organizing and monitoring activities for school-aged children.
• Submit monthly plans, supply lists, and newsletters by due dates.
• Maintain consistent, professional communication with coworkers, parents, and children.
• Implement positive discipline and guidance to students.
