Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Before & After Care Worker to help maintain a safe, orderly environment before and after school, supervise students, and assist with homework and snacks. This role focuses on fostering positive interactions with children and parents while upholding CSUSA policies.

You will work in a school setting, following established procedures and contributing to a welcoming, supportive after-school program that supports student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required.
• Experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children and be committed to CSUSA values.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, playground and designated locations before or after school programs.
• Supervise students during Before & After Care sessions.
• Follow sign-in and dismissal procedures for Before Care and After Care.
• Monitor students and observe who enters and leaves childcare areas.
• Distribute snacks and supervise activities on the playground.
• Tutor and assist students with homework as needed.
• Resolve conflicts with children and parents in a professional manner.
