Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an active supervisor for the school-based child care program. The role involves overseeing students under a qualified leader, promoting strong relations with families and school staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with district policies.

The assistant will follow guidance from the director or designee, participate in activities with students, and support enrichment and curriculum quality while maintaining a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must work under supervision of the director or leader.
• Each year of employment requires at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Demonstrates ability to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students actively in the school-based child care program.
• Follow the guidance of a qualified leader, assistant director, or director.
• Develop and promote positive community relations with families and school staff.
• Complete tasks assigned by the director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Engage students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Enforce program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, storage, and repair.
• Contribute ideas to enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and coworkers.
• Follow district policies and use facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
