Job summary

Lowes Foods in Myrtle Beach is hiring for a Meat & Seafood Department Associate to provide excellent guest service while executing department activities.

You will use selling skills and merchandising programs to engage guests, assist with product prep, receiving, inventory, pricing, and ensure safety, sanitation, and product freshness.

This role emphasizes teamwork, physical stamina, and strong guest interactions in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work with others and interact with guests.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs continually.
• Bend, kneel and stand for extended periods in a cold environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and create a selling environment in the meat/seafood department.
• Prepare knife-ready products (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, price) to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen, prepared meats and seafood in sales areas.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers and sales floor.
• Maintain product quality and freshness; ensure items are in date.
• Communicate shrink issues to management.
• Communicate guest requests/concerns to management.
• Make PA announcements for sales and promotions in the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates shrink issues to management.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
