Job summary

Lowe's Foods, LLC is seeking a Meat/Seafood Department Associate to deliver friendly guest service and support merchandising efforts. You will assist with knife-ready product prep, handling, pricing and stocking to maximize sales.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and sanitation, ensuring product quality and freshness, and assisting guests while communicating needs to management. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Should possess good interpersonal skills and effective selling skills.
• Outgoing personality and ability to engage guests.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand for long periods.
• Able to work in a cold meat/seafood environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a selling environment in the dept.
• Prepare knife-ready products by cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping and weighing as per standards.
• Assist in receiving, inventory and storage of products.
• Price, stock and rotate meat/seafood items in display areas.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers and sales floor.
• Ensure products are high quality and in date, communicate shrink issues.
• Assist with guest requests and relay concerns to management.
• Make PA announcements for meat/seafood promotions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

1. Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests as they approach the department. Creates a selling environment using selling skills.2. Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.3. Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.4. Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.5. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.6. Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.7. Communicates shrink issues to management.8. Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.9. Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
