Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Meat & Seafood Clerk to provide friendly, efficient guest service within the department. You will help create a selling environment through strong product knowledge and effective guest interactions.

Responsibilities include preparing knife-ready products, stocking and rotating meats, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a cold environment, with flexibility in shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact well with guests.
• Able to work well with others and participate in a team environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs continuously.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests as they approach the department.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates shrink issues to management and guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
