US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Category Manager to implement and optimize the local distribution center category strategies across a defined area, including Manassas, VA. The role focuses on optimizing assortment, coordinating with culinary teams and vendors, and driving profitable growth in assigned categories.

You will analyze market data, manage new product introductions, and support negotiations for area accounts, while aligning with national strategies and ensuring customer needs are met.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 7 years category management experience required, with some project management experience preferred.
• Ability to operate in a matrix organization and drive transformative change.
• Proficiency in data analysis and presentation of findings to leadership.

Responsabilités

• Develop implementation plan for category strategy customized for multiple Distribution Centers.
• Ensure implementation aligns with US Foods category strategy and defined Area needs.
• Review Area product assortment, identify slow-moving SKUs, and spot growth opportunities.
• Support Area and DC sales staff with assortment updates and vendor relations.
• Lead training for new products and coordinate with DSS and sales staff.
• Support area-specific bids with thorough analysis and onboarding coordination.
