Merck & Co. is seeking a Territory Representative to join our Animal Health field sales team. The role requires building relationships, understanding customer needs, and selling Animal Health products across the assigned territory.

You will support pull-through activities aligned to the customer strategy and promote value through technical innovations. You will collaborate with Technical Services, field partners, and distribution teams to drive account growth and deliver tailored solutions to

Qualifications

• Familiar with Beef and Dairy Industry.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to use an iPad.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on understanding of customer's needs.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with key personnel/deciders to identify business opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and account plans; collaborate with internal teams to drive sales growth.
• Develop territory plans and partner with Technical Services and distribution partners to maintain focus on accounts.
• Work across species teams to enhance knowledge of the product portfolio.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
• Identify programs to address customer needs and provide education & training to accounts.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop relevant offerings addressing customer needs.
