Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is hiring a Hospital Based Patient Advocate in Ashland, KY. This full-time, onsite role operates Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, helping uninsured patients access Medicaid and other financial assistance programs directly in hospital rooms.

The Advocate guides patients through eligibility assessments, applications, and follow-up, ensuring accuracy and timely processing while delivering compassionate, face-to-face support during vulnerable moments.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside for eligibility for federal, state, or county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approval.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain organized work queues and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Communicate with patients and agencies by phone or in person to submit enrollments.
