Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through Medicaid and other financial assistance programs at bedside, right in the hospital rooms.

You will evaluate eligibility, assist with applications, and ensure prompt and complete documentation. This full-time onsite role requires strong communication and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability with changing processes and government programs.
• Professional experience with state and federal programs.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers.
