Job summary

Energy Vault is hiring an Industrial Automation Engineer for our Snyder, Texas Innovation Center. You will design and implement on-site control programs for gravity energy storage systems, involving PLCs, VFDs, motion control, networks, HMIs, data collection, metrics, and evaluation.

You will help revolutionize energy generation and storage worldwide. We target a mid-level engineer (level 2 or 3) but may consider a Senior title for the right candidate with ample Beckhoff automation programming

Qualifications

3+ years engineering experience with a Masters/Doctorate or 5+ years with a Bachelor.
7+ years experience with an Associates degree.
9+ years experience with a high school diploma.
Extensive Beckhoff automation programming experience.
Ample field experience on industrial construction sites or in manufacturing.
Motion control experience, preferably including VFD control of heavy loads.
PID controller coding experience for high-speed/precise movement.
Based at Snyder, TX with potential hybrid remote work after initial period.

Responsibilities

Improve and innovate upon existing gravity energy storage systems design.
Design, write, and commission automation code utilizing Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC Software that includes I/O, PLC, Motion, and Safety.
Implement and troubleshoot your designs and code on site.
Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural engineers and corporate teammates.
