Job summary
Energy Vault is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer for on-site work in Snyder, Texas, with potential for hybrid remote after several months. You will design and implement automation for gravity energy storage systems, working with Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC software and cross-disciplinary teams.
The role targets mid-level to senior engineers, with strong Beckhoff programming, motion control, and safety certification experience.
Qualifications
- 3+ years engineering experience with Advanced degree options (MS/PhD) or 5+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with an Associate, or 9+ years with a high school diploma.
- Extensive Beckhoff automation programming experience.
- Ample field experience on industrial construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Motion control experience, including VFD control of heavy loads.
- PID control coding for high-speed, precise movement of heavy loads.
Responsibilities
- Improve and innovate upon existing gravity energy storage systems design.
- Design, write, and commission automation code using Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC Software (I/O, PLC, Motion, Safety).
- Implement and troubleshoot designs and code on site.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural engineers and other teams at Energy Vault.
