Job summary

Hyatt House Beaverton is seeking a part-time Hotel Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance tasks in a Beaverton, OR location. You will organize materials, review work orders, and execute preventive maintenance in rooms and public areas while coordinating with hotel leadership.

The role requires prior maintenance experience, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and adherence to safety standards; flexible hours and on-site work are expected in this hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Education: certificate from college or technical school in facilities, maintenance or engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, facilities or engineering; hotel experience preferred.
• Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from the Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
• Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
• Check work orders and maintenance report for any problems.
• Make rounds checking problem areas; note touch-up needs or safety concerns.
• Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with Executive Housekeeper and Front Office Manager.
• Install and repair vinyl and wallpaper.
• Strip and refinish Guest Room furniture.
• Maintain tools, equipment and supplies; ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Handle chemicals according to hotel requirements (OSHA).
• Complete room preventive maintenance and respond to guest requests timely.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain attendance and reliability; perform additional duties as assigned
