Job summary

Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks a Beauty Counter Manager to create personalized experiences for customers and lead a passionate team in a luxury setting in Chicago.

You’ll perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, drive personal and counter sales, manage vendor events, and build customer loyalty through Nordstrom Rewards. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, stay current on beauty trends, and ensure a welcoming, well-organized environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends and makeup/skincare application.
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Drive to achieve sales goals with interest in networking and technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming environment for all customers
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
• Keep up with beauty trends through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges and build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts
