Job summary

Quanta Services, Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support the estimating team in preparing accurate, timely cost estimates for construction projects.

You will perform quantity take-offs, gather supplier and subcontractor pricing, and assist in bid preparation while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other departments. This role is not remote; you will report to the Beaumont office Monday through Friday and contribute to competitive bids and project

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in construction-related field as a preference.
• 1–3 years in estimating, construction, or related field (internship or entry-level okay).
• Basic understanding of construction materials, methods, and terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for all project phases (conceptual to final).
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specs; use estimating software.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing records.
• Review bids to identify scope, risks, and requirements.
• Support bid proposals, budgets, and cost comparisons.
• Assist with project handoff to operations and procurement.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
