Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a Lead Estimator in Beaumont, TX to direct the estimating function for electrical, utility and infrastructure projects. Lead, mentor a team of estimators and own final cost, risk and pricing decisions.

You will develop bid strategy, review drawings, and oversee detailed cost estimates while coordinating with business development, operations, and clients. Strong leadership and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years construction estimating experience with leadership of estimators or major pursuits
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, Adobe, Claude) and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil and structural drawings and specs

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of estimators and manage multiple bids
• Evaluate pursuit opportunities and define bid strategy and pricing
• Review drawings, specs and addenda to determine scope and exclusions
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and labor/material/equipment costs
• Solicit and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals; manage key vendor relationships
• Assess project risk and set contingency and margin recommendations
• Present estimates and pricing recommendations to senior management for approval
