Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field and two years of technical experience in a lab or industrial setting.
• Design, development and prototyping of scientific or industrial equipment and systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot sophisticated electro-optical–mechanical and logic control systems.
• Extensive use of hand tools and precision assembly of electro-optical–mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and prototype scientific or industrial equipment and systems.
• Serve as a key interface between user groups, experiment support groups and operations groups.
• Provide technical support for beamline operations and safety compliance.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of beamlines and subsystems.
• Create and maintain technical documents and user manuals.
