OTO Development is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive new business and manage existing accounts for catering revenue growth at a beach-front property. The role spans weddings, corporate meetings, and banquets, ensuring a seamless transition from sales to event execution.

You will solicit new catering business, respond to inquiries with proposals, visit client sites, and build relationships with local businesses and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
• 2 to 4 years of catering sales or event planning experience.
• Strong understanding of banquet and catering operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM systems experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Proactively solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
• Respond promptly to inquiries for catering events, providing detailed proposals and pricing.
• Conduct client site visits and walkthroughs, showcasing the property’s event spaces and capabilities.
• Create and maintain relationships with local businesses, event planners, and vendors.
• Collaborate with the culinary and banquet teams to create customized menus and service experiences.
• Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all event details and client expectations are recorded.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure successful event execution and client satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed client records, sales activity reports, and forecasts using hotel systems (Delphi, Opera).
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual catering sales goals as set by the Director of Sales or Catering.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive set, and market conditions.
