Job summary

The St. Joe Company operates The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach, FL, seeking a friendly beach attendant to provide chairs, umbrellas, and towels to guests and keep the beach area prepared for arrivals.

You'll escort guests to preferred setups, assist with equipment, handle basic inquiries, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in outdoor beach conditions, including responding to emergencies and maintaining a welcoming environment during shifts.

Qualifications

• Education and literacy sufficient to read labels and communicate with guests.
• Ability to read, write and speak basic English.
• Some customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification (can be obtained after employment).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Load and transport beach equipment and towels before shifts.
• Assist in setting up tables, chairs, tents and umbrellas.
• Store equipment properly when not in use.
• Lead guests to beach setups and respond to requests.
• Assist guests with questions and minor emergencies.
• Respond to major emergencies requiring lifeguard or 911.
• Maintain beach appearance and keep area tidy.
• Collect equipment and soiled towels at shift end.
• Follow company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
