You will translate competitive intelligence into actionable deal strategy and lead external collaborations with biotech and pharma partners. Based near Raleigh, the role offers equity and a competitive base salary with potential for significant ownership in a fast-moving, early-stage company.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in biotech/pharma business development or corporate development.
• Strong scientific literacy; advanced degree valued for evaluating technologies/IP.
• Proven track record identifying partners and driving outreach to closure.
• Experience sourcing and evaluating licensing opportunities from both sides of deals.
• A structured, autonomous thinker with clear, concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain competitive/market intelligence to inform leadership.
• Lead prospect research and target identification; own outreach materials.
• Identify out-licensing and partnership opportunities and map potential partners.
• Scout external technologies/assets and assist diligence with leadership.
• Support deal strategy, positioning, and prepare inputs for discussions.
• Coordinate alliance activities and contribute to grant submissions.
