The Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens in Cedar Bluff is seeking a dependable PACE Transportation Driver. This role involves providing safe transportation services to ambulatory and non-ambulatory participants, assisting them as needed on and off the vehicle.
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and operating the vehicle safely, with an emphasis on participant assistance, particularly those with chronic illnesses. A valid driver's license and prior experience with the elderly are preferred.
WE ARE GROWING! AASC is seeking dependable and participant-focused PACE Transportation Drivers to join our exceptional team as we provide safe, reliable transportation services to PACE participants in the Cedar Bluff area.
Position:
Will transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory participants (in wheelchairs or on stretchers) to various destinations by agency vehicle. Will provide needed participants assistance on and off vehicles. The driver will at all times be alert to participants needs and operate the vehicle in a safe manner. Must have skills to deal professionally with health care personnel and participants with chronic illnesses who may be disabled physically and/or cognitively. Transportation drivers may be required to provide necessary services as authorized by the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Accurate recordkeeping is mandatory for this position. Significant public contact is required and position requires some independent decision-making and action.
