Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a BCM Design Release Engineer to support body control module systems across automotive vehicle programs. You will work with suppliers and software teams to ensure BCM functionality and alignment with program requirements.

The role covers bench testing, HIL validation, and vehicle validation while managing engineering changes, issue resolution, and coordination with cross-functional teams to meet launch milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics/automotive engineering is required.
• Hands-on automotive BCM development, design release, systems integration or validation experience.
• Experience bench testing, HIL testing, or full vehicle validation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, and release of BCM systems across vehicle programs.
• Perform bench-level testing and HIL validation to verify BCM functionality and performance.
• Utilize CANoe and CDA tools for CAN network diagnostics and module interaction checks.
• Participate in design reviews, requirements allocation, and system engineering activities.
• Evaluate ECRs, schedule validations, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support model year planning, risk assessment, and launch-related BCM changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and software teams to resolve integration issues and updates.
• Assist with vehicle build events, issue analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Report validation progress, risks, and actions to program leadership.
