Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Interior Devices and Sensors Design and Release Engineer to lead the Center Stack (ICS) Switchbank design, development, packaging, testing and release. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to define component and vehicle level specs and drive Electrical/Mech integration.

You will develop ICs to meet specs, participate in product assurance, manage suppliers and DFMEA/DVRR, and release components through CNs while aligning with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 3+ years of switch and/or electronic ECU development and releasing experience.
• Full understanding of automotive electronic ECU development process.
• Experience managing or developing embedded software.
• Strong leadership skills (prepared to lead a supplier team).
• Onsite at Auburn Hills, Michigan a minimum of 3 days per week; travel to Mexico and Canadian/Mexican client plants may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop & ensure that the ICs are compliant to all component level specifications.
• Participate in Product Assurance Planning (Program Management).
• Manage the supplier of the component; and component DFMEA, DVRR, and Timing Proactive Quality Plan.
• Participate in Reactive Quality Problem Solving; support Supplier Quality during PS & PFMEA reviews.
• Release components via Change Management System (CN's) and coordinate with EMEA, APAC and LATAM counterparts on global commonality.
• Root cause and resolve launch, serial life and quality issues related to the ICs using GIMS.
