Job summary

Paradromics is building a brain-computer interface platform to translate neural signals into therapies. The Field Application Engineer will be the technical lead in the field, bringing scientific innovations to clinical sites and coordinating with engineering and clinical teams.

The role involves setup and testing of Connexus hardware/software, triaging field issues, documenting edge cases, and communicating findings to drive system improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data collection with biosignal systems, ideally neural signals from humans.
• Experience contributing to iterative improvements in R&D hardware/software.
• Proficiency in Python for time-series data analysis and basic ML.
• Clear communication across disciplines—clinicians to engineers.
• Calm, high-EQ, and strong ownership in high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to represent the company in the field.

Responsibilities

• Initiate new studies and applications in the field; plan neural data collection and BCI sessions.
• Compile and summarize clinical observations for cross-functional review; contribute data analyses.
• Document edge cases in neural decoding or hardware to drive improvements.
• Assist Connexus hardware/software setup, updates, and testing locally and in the field.
• Triage, upscale, and resolve technical issues including bugs, hardware failures, and signal artifacts.
• Streamline session setup, data collection, analysis, and triage processes; develop SOPs and training materials.
• Collaborate with Clinical Affairs, EE, and Quality to evolve tools into a medical-grade platform.
