Job summary

Merakey seeks a BCBA in West Covina, CA to work under a Psychologist with a team of BCBAs. The role emphasizes ongoing training, small caseloads, and community-based travel to enhance clinical skills and independence.

You will conduct FBAs, develop behavior support plans, and monitor progress with Power BI data reporting, ensuring improved client outcomes and safer care environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ABA and California BCBA licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years of direct service experience with developmental disabilities/behavioral health in diverse settings.
• NADD Clinical Certification preferred.
• Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Observe clients and home staff; develop person-centered goals to support community living and wellbeing.
• Conduct FBAs and develop behavior support plans in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Collect and analyze behavior data; prepare reports and monitor outcomes using Power BI.

Job description

We are seeking a BCBA to join our team at our program in West Covina, CA Work under the direction of a Psychologist with a team of experienced BCBAs.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BCBA looking for career growth and access to continued trainings. Small case load, community based travel and the ability to develop your clinical skills. Provide training and ongoing support for robots during the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration and operation within the team.

Compensation: $47.12 - $49.04 per hour (approximately $98,000 - $102,000 annually), based on experience, qualifications, and clinical expertise. Plus mileage reimbursement.

Position Details

• Observe and engage with clients and home staff through collaborative discussion, creative problemsolving around identified barriers, and the development of personcentered goals that support individuals in pursuing their values at home and in the community, promoting a more balanced life and improved wellbeing.
• Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) by observing participants in various settings, utilizing data from reports to inform your assessments, and working closely with other team members to develop behavior support plans that support individualized care and progress within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Collect and analyze behavior data through progress notes, synthesizing it into reports using Power BI. Monitor both micro and macro-level data to assess outcomes related to individual goals, aiming to reduce incidents and prevent re-hospitalization. Collaborate with teams to refine strategies for effective care.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Master's degree required with an emphasis in ABA
• Licensed BCBA Professional in the state of California
• 2+ years of experience providing direct services to clients with various developmental disabilities, behavioral health diagnosis, and/or severe behavior challenges in a hospital, behavioral health, home-based, educational, or social services setting preferably cross-age groups.
• NADD - Clinical Certification (Preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
