Job summary

Melmark New England is seeking an Educational Coordinator for a 1-year position to support students aged 3–21 with emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs. The role partners with Lead Special Education Teachers to implement advanced curricula and ensure alignment with Massachusetts DESE standards.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Education or Special Education.
• BCBA certification is required.
• Severe Special Education certification preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a special education setting and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a clinician for a caseload of students.
• Completes annual/intake assessments and reports.
• Prepares for IEP meetings, including IEP writing for behavior need area, BSP development, Functional Behavior Assessment, Preference Assessment and other supporting documents.
• Facilitates treatment efficacy by recommending scientifically validated and most effective least restrictive treatment procedures.
• Holds weekly classroom meetings and completes corresponding training roster and documentation.
• Ensures all data collection is accurate as prescribed by target behavior and instructional programming.
• Provides daily in classroom support as prescribed by schedule.
