Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey is seeking a Behavioral Specialist/BCBA Candidate to support Kellman Brown Academy, a Hebrew Day School serving pre-school through 8th grade. The role focuses on proactive consultation, data-driven behavior support, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families.

Under supervision, you will conduct FBAs, develop BIPs, deliver staff trainings, and implement classroom strategies to promote self-regulation and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field (ABA preferred).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in ABA and person-centered planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive behavioral, social-emotional, developmental, and executive functioning support for children in a childcare and preschool setting.
• Build positive relationships with children, teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs when appropriate.
• Design and implement individualized and classroom-based strategies to support self-regulation, coping skills, and communication.
• Facilitate social skills instruction focusing on communication, play, emotional regulation, and peer engagement.
• Provide consultation, coaching, and support to faculty regarding behavior management and inclusive practices.
• Develop behavior analytic instructional materials and visual supports as needed.
• Participate in student support meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
