Job summary

Family of Kidz seeks a Behavior Consultant/BCBA for a home-based role in Oyster Bay, NY. The position offers Part-Time, Fee-for-Service or Full-Time options with hours Monday–Friday 4pm–6pm and compensation of $75-$80/hour, with benefits for full-time staff and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities include conducting FBAs, designing BIPs, data-driven progress reviews, and coaching staff. Travel between districts is required, and HIPAA/FERPA compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with school staff, families, and professionals.
• Ability to document and share data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school administrators, teachers, aides, related service providers, and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify the function of behavior and develop effective intervention strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate student progress and make data-driven recommendations for intervention adjustments.
• Develop practical, classroom-based behavioral supports that promote student independence, engagement, and participation in routines.
• Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and feedback to classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral strategies.
