Job summary

Del Mar Union Elementary School District seeks a Behavior Specialist to provide behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultative services for students with behavioral and social/communication challenges through a trauma-informed lens.

The role develops and implements evidence-based interventions, conducts comprehensive assessments, and offers training to promote positive outcomes in inclusive educational environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, or related field with at least 3 years of experience in education.
• Must be a BCBA.
• Ideal candidate is BICM trained.
• Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum.
• Skilled in ABA methodologies.
• Experience training and supporting teachers, staff, and parents.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Own an automobile and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments and interventions with a trauma-informed approach.
• Provide consultative services to support students with behavioral and social/communication challenges.
• Develop and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions.
• Train teachers, staff and parents to promote positive student outcomes in inclusive settings.
