Job summary

The Bennion Center for Community Engagement at the University of Utah is seeking a student employee to support daily operations and programmatic needs. You will serve as an ambassador through outreach, create presentations, and table events, helping to expand the Bennion Center's reach on campus and in the community.

Work hours are negotiated upon hire and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and some weekends.

• Must be awarded Federal Work Study.

• Connect with recognized student organizations to share Bennion Center programs and opportunities to spread the reach of the Bennion Center.
• Support Bennion Center Student Leader recruitment efforts.
• In cooperation with the Associate Director for Student Engagement and Outreach, develop intentional recruitment strategies for colleges and departments across the University of Utah.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Work as part of a collaborative team to support the daily operations and varied programmatic needs of the Bennion Center for Community Engagement at the University of Utah. Primary job responsibilities include serving as an ambassador for the Bennion Center through various outreach efforts, presentation creation, and tabling events. This role will also have some responsibility serving at the front desk or Bennion Center kiosk at Kahlert Village.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current student at the University of Utah

Preferences

• Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize workload and complete tasks to meet deadlines, with minimal supervision.
• Experience effectively “managing up” to resolve questions and gather the information and resources needed to execute position responsibilities.
• Fun, outgoing, and able to gather
• Some flexibility in mornings, afternoons, evenings, and some weekends.
