PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Overland Park is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit. Under the direction of clinical leadership, you will apply the nursing process to plan, deliver, and coordinate care for admitted patients and support discharge planning.

Requirements include current RN licensure in the state, BLS, ACLS (ACLS within 90 days of employment). One year of inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Holds current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise care on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Perform related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities if required.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
