Job summary

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care under the RN's supervision and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants, ensuring the highest quality care at all times.

This weekend 3p-7a position pays $38-$43 per hour, with shift differentials for evenings, overnights and weekends and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• CPR certification required.
• Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state (or in process).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital, long-term care, or related facility (new grads welcome).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under RN supervision.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton

3p-7a on weekends, paid for 40 hours.

$38 - $43 an hour, depending on the shift. Evenings, overnights, and weekends have shift differentials. Weekly pay!

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to residents under the RN's supervision and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure the highest quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of the RN
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant
• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
• Maintain current resident care plans
• Follow physician's orders
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program
• Must be CPR certified
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state, or be in the process of obtaining one
• Minimum, one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility (new graduates welcome!)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
