Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead based in the Oakland or San Francisco area. You will guide a technically skilled team, design mechanical systems (EOR of contract documents), and manage scope, schedule, and budget across complex projects.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and help win new work through client meetings and marketing efforts in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar field+8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Discipline Lead for the Bay Area team and mentor engineers.
• Be responsible for Mechanical systems design (EOR of contract documents).
• Develop project fee proposals detailing scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate design with architectural, structural, electrical, technology and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent files.
• Evaluate staffing requirements, analyze problems, and write reports.
• Lead client meetings regarding engineering systems and maintain client relations.
• Identify prospective clients and assist in marketing for new projects.
• Ensure quality and completeness of the engineering design.
